Collaborative Work
Melody Chan is a well seasoned collaborative artist who has worked with a broad range of instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers and ensembles. Active in the musical community ever since her student years, Melody was employed by the Royal Conservatory School (Toronto) to play for their string division and choral group as well as by the University of Toronto as a teaching assistant for the their brass and woodwind divisions. She was also invited to be a guest pianist for Ballet Jörgen and the George Brown School of Dance, and has performed with the Cantabile Chamber Singers and the Toronto Messiaen Ensemble.
Now based in Vancouver, Melody has accompanied countless of students for competitions, juries and performances. She is listed on the accompanist rosters for the Vancouver International Music Competition as well as the Kiwanis Music Festival, and has graced the major local stages of the Chan Centre, Koerner Hall, Roy Barnett Recital Hall and the River Rock Theatre.
Melody also enjoys guesting abroad, and has recently performed as part of Music By the Sea in Victoria and will tour Toronto in the upcoming spring and summer season.
